Burnaby has produced many fine athletes, builders, coaches, and teams from the outset of its founding in 1892. The Sports Hall of Fame was incorporated under the Society Act this year, 2001, to recognize Burnaby's proud heritage in sports. Photo taken over Burnaby Lake looking west.

Scholarship Recipients: The 2010 year is celebrated by the Burnaby Sport Hall of Fame reaching their 10th anniversary. This year was also a very special year in the number of applicants for the Hall's scholarship award. Among the highly qualified applicants, the committee decided to award 4 scholarships from the accepted norm of 2 scholarships.
