Tennis

Wayne Elderton

Wayne Elderton is recognized by Tennis Canada as creating the No. 1 tennis program in B. C. He has developed 16 junior champions and five national titleholders and has also put togeter the top weheelchair tennis program in the Province, with his players winning 15 national titles and 2 international championships. Known as a coach of coaches, Elderton has mentored over 1,000 coaches and is a poineer of modern coaching methods in North America.

He has won 4 individual Tennis Canada coaching excellence awards and was a national develpment coach of the year runner-up in 1999 and 2000.

Figure Skating

Joanne McLeod

Joanne is considered one of the finest figure skating coaches in the world. As the Director of the Burnaby Figure Skating Centre of Excellence, she has produced a double medalist in senior skater Mira Leung and a host of junior national medalists, the lastest counting six medal and the 2006 Junior Championships. Sandhu has also won three Grand Prix titles and in 2004 won the overall Frand Prix title. At the 2004 national junior championships, her three skaters captured all three medals in pre-novice men. In 2004, Joanne was named Skate Canada's National Coach of the Year.
